THE AUTHORS

We are two passionate collectors of Ping Pong ephemera who have quietly scoured eBay, flea markets, and yard sales to ammass a museum-sized collection of Ping Pong artifacts. This book uses them to tell the important stories only ping pong can tell: tales of geopolitics, deomgraphic shifts, and velour headbands.

Roger Bennett is the co-author of Bar Mitzvah Disco, Camp Camp, And You Shall Know Us by the Trail of Our Vinyl, and co-host of ESPN.com’s Off The Ball. He lives in New York, and ping pong brings out his violent side.  Twitter: @rogbennett

Eli Horowitz designs and edits books for McSweeney’s. After a childhood spent consistently losing to his father and brother in their Virginia basement, he captained the third-place intramural ping pong squad at Yale University. He lives in San Francisco.
