San Francisco is a magical Ping Pong town.  A huge crowd came out for our GRANDMASTER CHALLENGE to witness some tasty, tasty ping pong, hear a bunch of stories from the book and raise some lovely money for 826.  We are indebted to all who came to Capp Street to relive some table tennis majesty back in the finished basement.  National Hardbat Champion, Trevor Runyan took on all comers, beating Dave Eggers using our book. Chef Andrew Myint with a heavy cooking pot, and pipping the plucky Jerry Harrison of the Talking Heads using a vinyl 33.  He then joined Atha Fong is destroying all-comers, including one gent who demanded Runyan play him using a pair of factory fresh selvage jeans.  We are grateful to our sponsors: K SWISS, MySpace, and Joola. LA awaits in 2011…
